According to numbers reported on Monday, sales of electric vehicles in Norway for 2022 have hit an all-time high.
According to Reuters, sales of electric vehicles climbed by 80% from 2016 to 2021, and nearly one in every five cars sold in the country last year was electric.
For the second year in a row, Elon Musk’s Tesla is taking the lead in sales of electric vehicles in Norway for 2022.
Norway intends to be the first country to prohibit the sale of gasoline and diesel automobiles by 2025, and as part of this, all-electric battery vehicles are exempt from the taxes levied on vehicles powered by an internal combustion engine.
